Under average usage, pre-filters are replaced every 6 months, the membrane filter every 12–24 months, and the post-carbon filter every 12 months. The contamination level of your mains water and your daily consumption amount can shorten these intervals.

Some models may operate inefficiently at low pressure. Generally, a pressure of 2.5–3 bar or higher is recommended. If the pressure is low, “pompalı” models are preferred or a pressure-boosting solution is applied.

Standard installation typically takes 30–60 minutes. In most cases a major plumbing change is not required; it is installed under the kitchen sink and existing connection points are used. A site survey/pre-check is recommended for suitability.

The device varies according to its filter technology. Reverse osmosis (RO) systems significantly reduce chlorine, sediment, heavy metals, and many dissolved substances. However, water quality and proper filter maintenance directly affect performance. Pre-filters remove dirt and chlorine → RO membrane performs deep purification → alkaline mineral filter provides mineral and pH support to the water → final filter adjusts taste.

Each filter has its own functions, but this does not mean that their lifespans are different. As BMS Alkali, our filters are guaranteed for 1 year in homes for the sake of filter quality assurance. It is recommended to replace all of them between 18 and 24 months. During these periods, it is also advisable to change the water tanks if possible for health reasons.
